Marsha Boelaars Vertalingen

Everyone knows the free translation engines on the Internet. They often produce hilarious texts, but they also show that translating is more difficult than one would think. So if you want your texts to be good and effective, it is important to choose a good translator. This can also be more difficult than it seems, as anyone can call themselves a translator. Being a good translator starts with a good education. As you can see in my CV, I have a master's degree in Translation Studies, I did a course in legal translation and I keep my knowledge up-to-date.
Anyone can call themselves a translator, but only sworn translators are in the national register of sworn interpreters and translators. I am registered under number 660.
Because I am committed to quality, I apply the native speaker principle. This means I only translate from English to Dutch.

I translate all kinds of general texts and I specialise in:
  • European Union
  • IT and telecom
  • history and archaeology
  • advertising and marketing
  • criminal law
  • arts

  • See also the pages on Games localisation and Dubbing for more details on these special forms of translation.
